Family Cooperative
The purpose of the family cooperative structure is to encourage us, as parents, to share in the responsibility of our children's education and the daily operations of the school. This promotes opportunites for parents and staff to work together, as well as freeing the staff to focus on our children and our programs. Each family's involvement is necessary and vital to the operation of the school.
Family's Role
In the spirit of a true cooperative, all families will be asked to become involved with the operations of the school. This might include supervising field trips, assisting with special classroom projects, fundraising, marketing or organizing social events. Participation is fundamental to the operation of the school and should NOT be considered optional.
Cooperative Meetings
The Coop meets on the fourth Tuesday of September, January and May at 6:00. This meeting is usually a pot-luck dinner, and children are welcome. The meetings address the business of the Coop as well as provide helpful information about child development, parenting techniques and classroom operations. Therefore, your attendance is strongly encouraged.
